Bio

In 2015, I completed my seventeenth year at Rogersville City School.  I have taught first, third, fourth, fifth grades, and have worked as an instructional media specialist at RCS.  I have also been a teacher advisor for the RCS National Junior Beta Club, Warrior Bookstore, and the Yearbook Staff.  Currently, I am a teacher liaison for the RCS Academic Booster Club, Box Tops for Education Coordinator, member of the CSH Healthy School Team, and Chairperson for the School-Wide BEP Committee.  This year, I will be co-advisor of the yearbook once again.

During my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, learning new things on my computer, photography, and spending time with my family/friends.   I have a ten year-old little girl, Kendyl, who is the light of my life!  It's been such a blessing being Kendyl's mommy and getting to watch her grow up.

As an educator in the 21st century, my mission is to guide my students toward the future with optimism, hope, and love for learning.  I will provide my students with a classroom in which they can feel comfortable, excited, and positive about the educational process.  My goal is to implement the curriculum in a manner that allows for various teaching methods, developmentally-appropriate instructional materials, and hands-on learning experiences.  At the end of the school year, I hope that each child has enjoyed learning and each individual student feels successful in the educational environment.
