Experience
I have been teaching at Rogersville City School since 1992.
I have taught first grade and second grade while at RCS,
and
I also taught remedial reading classes at the college level for
several years. I love teaching second grade and am so thankful
to work with the best kiddos on the planet! I absolutely love my job!

I have been the president of the Rogersville Education Association since 2008.

Along with Mr. Sandidge,I currently coordinate the Academic Awards
Ceremony for the Lower Grades each year.

In July 2017, I was chosen to serve on the State of
Tennesee Department of Education
Standards Setting Committee
for the Grade 2 Achievement Test.

In 2017, I authored a $25,000 grant that funded a Read to be
Ready Summer Reading Camp for rising 1st-3rd graders. I was the
director of our reading camp, which was an immensely rewarding
experience.

In 2018, I authored a $30,000 grant that will again fund RCS'

Read to be Ready Summer Reading Camp for Summer 2018. I'm super
excited to again direct our summer reading program and work with our
outstanding summer camp teachers to plan an exciting literacy program
for our 1st-3rd graders who qualify for our camp.
