Scientist and mathematician Marylesa Howard met with RCS 6th Graders via video conference last month!
On Wednesday, February 23rd, after studying energy resources and developing energy technologies, RCS 6th grade students heard directly from a scientist who works with the US Department of Energy, via video conference. The guest speaker was Marylesa Howard, a supervisor, scientist and mathematician who was named a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Awards in July 2019. Students deepened their understanding of energy resources, learned about careers in science and math, and were able to ask questions.
