I’m humbled and blessed to coach such a great group of athletes that strive to make one another better in every aspect. Love these kids!!

For the eighth year in a row, RCS Cross Country is sending athletes to the TMSAA Cross County State Championships. On the girls' side, the entire team qualified, and 8th grader Brayden Brown qualified individually on the boys' side.
In a stellar meet performance that had an almost perfect score, all five athletes from the girls' team placed in the top six with a total team score of 16 points. Medaling as Sectional Champion and receiving All Region accolades was Kenady Deal with a time of 13:45.12. Medaling and finishing as Sectional Runner-Up right behind Deal was Lilla Harrell with a time of 13:48.16. Anna Mae Boyd came away with a career PR of 25 seconds allowing her to medal dipping under fourteen minutes for the first time. This landed her in the number three spot with a time of 13:58.02. Elin Bryan once again worked her way up throughout the race to finish 4th in the field of 108 athletes with a time of 14:20.79. Molli Stuffle rounded out the scoring for the Warriors with a strong fight to the finish, which produced a career PR of 12 seconds to finish 6th. All five athletes earned All Region accolades.
On the boys' side the Warriors had one individual qualifier for the TMSAA State Championships. Team captain Brayden Brown finished 4th out of 121 athletes earning him All Region accolades with a time of 12:03. Grey Kirkpatrick finished in the 41st position with a time of 14:14 followed by teammates Baylor Hancock and Zander Harris finishing in the 44th and 47th positions. Hancock had a time of 14:17.7, while Harris finished in 14:18.4. We will look for these three newcomers to lead the Warriors next year. Matt Kirkpatrick rounded out the scoring for the Warriors as our fifth runner and had a gutsy performance as he came out to help solidify our team efforts.
The girls team and Brown will now compete @ the TMSAA XC State Championships on September 30th, in Clarksville. Please pray that these athletes will perform in a manner that will GGTG.
