For the second year in a row, the Lady Warriors find themselves in the TMSAA Class A Basketball Championship game. In a physical match-up, RCS powered past Homestead Elementary, defeating them 55-33. Leading 10-7, Rogersville City Lady Warriors went on an 8-point run to pull further away, getting out to a 31-14 lead at halftime before closing out the victory.
Rogersville City Lady Warriors controlled the paint, grabbing 31 rebounds.3 RCS players scored in double figures. Kenady Deal was the team's leading scorer with 20 points. Molli Stuffle and Addie Lawson were close behind with 17 and 16 points respectively. Stuffle led the team with nine rebounds. The Lady Warriors passed the ball well with 16 assists on 18 made baskets. Deal led the team with six assists. Chloe Pearson contributed 2 points.
RCS will face West Junior High in tomorrow's championship game at 10:00 a.m. (CST)/11:00 a.m. (EST).
The doors will open for the RCS watch party at 10:45 a.m.
