RCS Posts Several First Place Finishes in Crockett Meet

RCS Track and Field recently competed at Davy Crockett where several athletes finished with strong performances.

On the girls' side, we had two individual first place finishes/PRs with Kenady Deal in the 1600m, and Elizabeth Coward in 400m. Coward also came away with a top three performance in the 800m out of 47 competitors. Rylee Sivert opened up her season with two second place finishes in the 100m and 200m. The girls 4x400 team of Brooke Nelson, Mariam El Kammash, Kenady Deal, and Elizabeth Coward came away in the top spot with a strong closing performance. The girls team finished third out of twelve teams. 

On the boys' side, Kaleb Turner finished in the top spot with a new PR of 59.88 in the 400m out of 25 runners. Isaac Bryan finished with a third place performance in the 110m hurdles and the boy’s 4x400 team of Brayden Brown, Isaac Bryan, Zander Harris, and Kaleb Turner came away with a victory to close out the meet. The RCS boys finished sixth out of fourteen teams with only eight competitors. RCS will be in action again on March 27th at the Bearcat Invite at Virginia High School.
