In a resounding victory, RCS Football defeated North Greene 40-6 in last night's season opener. RCS's offensive game was strong with 8th graders Jayden Weston, Eli Boyd, and Porter Owen leading the Warriors in rushing. Weston posted 3 touchdowns and 2 2-point conversions, and Owen had 2 touchdowns and a 2-point conversion. In addition, Eli Boyd and 6th grader Zander Harris each scored 2-point conversions. After allowing one TD in the first quarter, the Warriors defense shutout the NG offense the remainder of the game.
The Warriors will be back in action this Monday, August 22, at West Greene High School. Tip-off against opponent West Greene Middle is set for 6:00 p.m.
