RCS will begin its tiered return to In-Person Learning beginning February 1, 2021 with grades K-2.  Grades 3-5 are set to return February 8, 2021, and grades 6-8 return February 18, 2021.

Several important procedures will be in place in order to maintain in-person learning and to accommodate all students physically being in the building together.

Please take the time to familiarize yourself and your child with these procedures:

  • Morning Drop-Off: 
    • Reduced to 2 locations:
      • Back Door at the New Gym (Take Reid Terry Dr. for access).
      • Lobby Doors on Rogers St. (Take Harmon Dr. for access).
    • Temperatures will be taken at building entry.
    • Drop-off time for all car riders/walkers is 7:30 a.m. They will not be permitted in the building prior to 7:30 a.m.
      • Students report directly to class.
      • Breakfast service will be "Grab and Go" and taken to class.
    • Bus Riders dropped off by bus prior to 7:30 will be held in the New Gym and dismissed to class at 7:30 a.m.

  • Masks:
    • Students and staff will be required to wear masks at all times.
    • Exceptions include eating and drinking, short mask breaks, and communication with people who are hearing impaired.

  • Attendance Policy Updates
    • With the return of students to in-person learning, our updated attendance policy for all-virtual learners will be implemented.
    • If you choose the all-virtual option for learning, carefully read, sign, and return the updated attendance policy. 
    • Important changes include work completion due dates, live Zoom attendance requirements, and methods for determining attendance.
