RCS Baseball and Softball teams continued their winning ways in their away games at Gray Elementary on Tuesday. Baseball defeated Gray 10-3 while the Lady Warriors won 21-1 against the Lady Knights. Both teams improve to 4-0 on the season. Full recaps are below.
Fifth-Inning Spurt Lead Rogersville City Lady Warriors Past Gray Lady Knights

Rogersville City Lady Warriors scored 13 runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Gray Lady Knights 21-1 on Tuesday. Kyrah Pope drew a walk, scoring one run, Carter Thurman drew a walk, scoring one run, Laney Bradley singled, scoring one run, Aryiona Holmes drew a walk, scoring one run, Greer Banks drew a walk, scoring one run, Anna Mae Boyd tripled, scoring three runs, Bailey Bledsoe singled, scoring one run, Thurman singled, scoring two runs, and Holmes singled, scoring two runs. Rogersville City Lady Warriors got on the board in the top of the second inning after Bledsoe walked, and Rogersville City Lady Warriors scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. Rogersville City Lady Warriors scored six runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Pope hit a solo inside the park home run, Reese Floyd drew a walk, scoring one run, Boyd drew a walk, scoring one run, Bledsoe singled, scoring one run, Rylee Sivert singled, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run. Boyd stepped in the circle first for Rogersville City Lady Warriors. The righty gave up five hits and one run (zero earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking two. Rogersville City Lady Warriors collected 11 hits in the game. Bledsoe, Bradley, and Boyd each collected two hits for Rogersville City Lady Warriors. Boyd went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Rogersville City Lady Warriors had patience at the plate, accumulating 21 walks for the game. Sivert, Bradley, and Holmes led the team with three free passes each. Bledsoe stole three bases. Rogersville City Lady Warriors were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Holmes had the most chances in the field with five.

Conner Lyons's Strong Eye Leads RCS Warriors Past Gray

Conner Lyons showed a strong eye at the plate on Tuesday, as Lyons walked three times while leading RCS Warriors to a 10-3 victory over Gray. Cade Putnal struck out 11 batters on the day. The pitcher also gave up one hit and one run over four innings while walking three. RCS Warriors got on the board in the top of the first inning after Putnal doubled, scoring two runs, and Mac Phillips laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run. A walk by Zavion Goode extended the RCS Warriors lead to 4-1 in the top of the third inning. Lyons appeared in relief for RCS Warriors. Putnal led RCS Warriors with two hits in three at bats. Lyons led RCS Warriors with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 11 walks for the game. Lyons stole two bases. RCS Warriors turned one double play in the game. RCS Warriors welcome Bulls Gap on Thursday for their next game.
