RCS Boys Advance to Semifinals in Section 1 Tourney

Rogersville City Warriors never trailed in their 33-18 victory over Grandview on Tuesday.

Zander Harris scored 17 points to lead Rogersville City Warriors.

The Warriors went on an 8-point run to start the game and got out to a 17-5 lead at halftime before closing out the victory.

The second quarter was the best for Rogersville City Warriors, as they outscored Grandview 9-2.

Rogersville City Warriors shot well from distance, going 5-13 from three. They rebounded the ball well, collecting 34 rebounds. Baylor Hancock led the team with 10 rebounds. Harris knocked down three shots from beyond the arc for Rogersville City Warriors. The team passed the ball well with 13 assists on 14 made baskets. Hancock led with six assists. Harris had 3 of the team's 6 blocks. Additional scorers for Rogersville City Warriors included Keithan Wheeler (8 points), Jackson Davenport (3 points), Cade Putnal (3 points), and Hancock (2 points).

The Warriors advance to the semifinal game to be played against Hampton Thursday, February 6, at 6:00 p.m. at John Sevier Middle School in Kingsport.
