In a thrilling overtime match-up, the Lady Warriors punched their tickets to head to the 2023 TMSAA State Tournament, finishing as Section 1 Champions! After splitting regular season contests with Newport Grammar and a tough OT loss in the Area Tourney, RCS was looking to settle the score. Handing Newport Grammar a 42-34 loss, the Lady Warriors held their opponent to only 2 points in overtime. 6th grader Rylee Sivert was named tournament MVP. Head Coach Latosha Jackson knew from the outset of the season that this team was special. "You must not only have competitiveness, but ability, and regardless of the circumstance you face, to never quit. We did just that.  We were down 8. We didn't quit. We just turned it into high gear. Two 6th graders have really stepped up in this tournament and are leading this team".

The Lady Warriors will travel to Smyrna, TN for the TMSAA State Tournament to be held at  Stewarts Creek High School February 10-11. RCS will face the Section 4 champion at 5:00 which will be played at Stewarts Creek Middle School.
