Rylee Sivert scored 25 points to lead Rogersville City Lady Warriors past Moore County, 81-30, in Friday's opening game of the state tournament.
Leading 32-13, the Lady Warriors went on a 17-point run to pull further away. The team had a strong first half, leading 45-13 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory.
RCS had a great day shooting from inside the arc, finishing 13-24 on twos. Molli Stuffle, Sivert, and Kenady Deal each hit multiple three-pointers. The team shot 14-31 (45%) from beyond the arc. The Rogersville City Lady Warriors played stifling defense, blocking three shots and grabbing 16 steals. The team passed the ball well with 17 assists on 27 made baskets. Stuffle led the team with six assists. Deal (18 points), Stuffle (17 points), Karlie Gray (16 points), Harlen Hayes (3 points), and Tinsley Gladson (2 points) helped out Rogersville City Lady Warriors as well.
