RCS Releases Updated 24-25 Student and Parent Handbook
Jennifer Ewing

RCS has updated its 2024-2025 Student Handbook. Although the handbook is available in digital format, a physical copy of the acknowledgment that parents have read and discussed the handbook with their students will be sent home in the back to school paperwork.

Some notable highlights include:

  • Electronics Policies
    • As in previous years, students who bring cell phones to school must keep them stored in their lockers. The device must be powered off.
    • Smart watches and wireless headphones such as AirPods must also remain in student lockers and powered off.
  • Dress Code Update
    • Students are not permitted to wear pajama pants to school.
    • Hoodies are included in the non-religious head gear rule that states that students are not to wear head gear inside the building.
  • Outside Food and Drink
    • Students are encouraged to either eat breakfast prior to arriving at school or to eat the school's breakfast. Students will not be permitted to bring food or drink from commercial establishments into the classroom (fast food breakfasts, iced coffees, etc.). Any student arriving with items such as these will be directed to the cafeteria to finish eating.
