Virtual Day Packets Sent Home

Virtual Day Packets Sent Home
Jennifer Ewing

Parents and/or Guardians:

Your child will be bringing home a packet of learning activities intended to use for future RCS virtual days if needed. The Tennessee Department of Education allows school systems to use a limited number of virtual days. On a virtual day, students will be assigned activities for each class and will complete those activities at home.

In the event our school system is closed for an extended period due to inclement weather, the information in the packet may be used for virtual instruction. Although RCS still has remaining snow days, keep this packet and save it for that purpose.

RCS staff will report to work on virtual days unless instructed otherwise.

Please remember to monitor the RCS website, any messages sent by your child’s teacher, the local media, and the RCS call-home system for updates regarding weather-related school operational changes. The school system alert system and the RCS website will alert you if the day is a virtual day.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

Edwin Jarnagin

Director
